25534406 GM Performance Parts Drce3 Block

Same as PN 25534403 except material is high strength compacted graphite for reduced bore distortion.

Building on the race proven DRCE family of engine blocks, the DCRE3 incorporates the latest in design technology. This block, casting number 25534402 , was designed for competition in 500 CID NHRA Pro Stock Drag Racing or similar type usage. Any DRCE series cylinder head can be used.

This block is sold without lifter and head bolt holes. The camshaft height is now over 7". The deck height is 9.25" and can be lowered to 9". A camshaft tunnel prevents valvetrain oil from falling onto the crankshaft . Use up to nine 60mm roller cam bearings. Hone stock is left on the cam bearing surface.

The oil pan rail has been widened to nearly 12" for windage improvement. Cylinder bore spacing remains at 4.9". The semi finished cylinders are bored to 4.590" but can be bored up to 4.7". Main caps are 4140 steel and utilized "dowel after assembly" technology for location improvement. The highest quality main studs and nuts are used.
The crankshaft journal diameter is 2.5". Hone stock is left on the main bearing surface. The starter motor can be mounted on the left side. Water and oil plugs are aluminum A/N thread with O-rings (included).
